Hi Dear Kkavya, it is really a leasing thing to know that you have a twin sister and you have a great relationship with her! I am also pleased to know that both of you behave almost in a similar way in a given situation, but then you feel that though you have so many things in common you both look different!
Dear friend twins since they are together with each other right from the birth, they have spend maximum of their time together as kids so they develop more or less similar habits and their emotional status is also more or less similar to certain age. Once they acquire the independence stage, then though they may have some basic similarities in their behavior they will have different identities as both are different individuals.
Now coming to the part of looking alike. In twinning we have two types of twins. The first type is called 'Mono zygotic Twins' where the twins are developed from the same zygote that means from the single fertilized egg both the twins are formed and these twins have similar set of genes and thy are called as identical twins for this reason. Thus this type of twins are sharing the same womb of the mother and have similar set of genes which makes them to look alike and because of the similar set of genes they tend to have similar traits under the same environment. Under different environment he behaviour may be changed under the environmental influence.
Coming to the second type of twinning which is called as 'Di zygotic Twinning' we have twins growing in the same womb of the mother but they are developed from two different fertilized eggs. So though the twins are grown in the same womb they have different set of genes in them which makes them a different individuals with different traits. So these type of twins may not look alike. But then as discussed earlier since both of them are spending lot of time together right from the birth they tend to copy each other's behaviour to support the much hyped theory of twins incorporated into the brains of these twins while they were very young. Because of this they always want to behave in the similar fashion till they become independent in the society!
I have seen many twins but unfortunately I never had any opportunity to see a pair of Mono zygotic twins so far! Thanks for initiating such a nice topic!May God bless you both and all the best for your bright future!

The twin study is the subject of research to solve the age-old debate: nature vs nurture. There is a high degree of correlation between the behavior of twins study than in adoption studies. But in my opinion, the environment is the main reason why they become different. It is like using the same model of computer but have different function. One computer function in the office while other is in the house. So if you try to view their programs and document, you will say that they are different yet the same model.
