So it's 8 miles to work and back(4 there 4 back) and lately my car situation went to hell, so I have been walking. I have a bicycle that needs a small repair but I'm just looking at it from a health perspective, Which is better for my health, walking the 8 miles at a brisk pace not speed or power walking, just brisk,or riding a bicycle?

Walking is better than riding a bike if you do exercise. But If you must go to work, you should ride because you'll be tired after walking, you can't work well.

I think riding a bike is better than walking.
The reasons being , of course, it gets you to your destination faster.
AND, it helps you tone your thigh muscles and tummy too.
When you're walking you'd generally be just freely walking, relaxed, unless it's your routine morning walk just for the exercise.
If it's biking and the chains are tightened up a bit more than usual, it's a bit better.
But you'll have to find a way to get rid of the sweat, I guess lol.

Hi there!
Both are good but just go with biking because it can bring you to work place faster than walking. Its also okay if you could walk because it can also make your heart healthy. :)

Ofcourse walking is better than riding a bike, in normal situation a person should walk 30 mins in a day for keep good health, you have already a chance to walk, why are you miss this chance, if you go and back, its really a good exercise for you and you dont need any other exercise.
