How many meals do you eat every day?

I have a question in my mind for a long time, that is how many meals should a person eat everyday? Traditionally, we eat three meals a day, breakfast, lunch and supper. But as for me, I eat breakfast around 8am, I have lunch about 12am to 1pm, and I eat supper before 8pm. But I always stay up until 1 o'clock, so when I am going to sleep, is 5 hours after supper, and I always get hungry at that time. But eat just before sleeping is not good for health, and if you are hungry, it's hard to get to sleep. So, what should I do? How about you? Do you hungry when you go to bed?

I usually eat 3 times a day ,sometimes twice. for me , just for the need of keeping fit, I would like to finish supper before 6p.m. while I could not do this. I usually finish supper around 9 P.m. but if I feel sleepy and hungry, I would definitely go to bed directly, only drink a lot of water to curve the need for food.

Normally, I do try to eat at least two meals a day. I know that I should have three, but as I'm hardly ever hungry until about lunch time, I find difficult sometimes to actually have breakfast. Although I don't usually eat breakfast, I do make an effort to eat lunch and dinner, with a few snacks in between these meals, or after dinner. That's usually what I tend to do.

I've also read that it's bad as well. I don't really like doing it. So, I might just take your advice and maybe have a small breakfast. It's a good suggestion, and I will see if it makes a difference. I hope it helps.

So you don't eat breakfast at all. But I have read a lot that indicates that skip breakfast is a bad habit and may do harm to your body. Even a piece a bread and a cup of milk is ok for breakfast. I think you may try to have a small breakfast in future. It is good for you~~

A lot of people have different regimes about eating food. Some of them eat 3 times a day, others eat just two times a day, third group eats five times a day. Honestly I have heard way to many people say what and when it is good to eat. I personally have figured out for myself at as long as you are physically active you have the right to eat everything at any time. So what I do is this: I don't have defined breakfast, I don't have a defined lunch or supper. I believe that my body knows it's needs more than I do so I eat when I feel hungry it is that simple. Today I might eat 2 times tomorrow 5 it all depends on my body. Honestly I feel very good this way because I don't pressure my body to eat to little or to much I just let it tell me when it is time to put some food in it. It's like a gas on the car you look out the gas meter in order to decide whether to add more gas to the car or no.

So you eat whenever you feel hungry, right? But cook meal or just go restaurant will take time. If eat to many times, it will takes too much time and break down my schedule for other things. So, maybe I have to find another order for myself. Thank you anyway.

I am a very strange eater. I never eat breakfast. I go straight onto the tea or coffee, and drink it all day while working. But I will take a snack during the day. In the past, this will have been bread without butter, or ham on its own, or peanut butter straight from the jar something like that. Come early evening, I'm pretty hungry, and I'll have my first full meal at about 8, althugh sometimes earlier, but sometimes even later; I know...it's horribly unhealthy. Then I'll have another meal before bed which can come very late. It's a crazy way to exist I know...but meals slow me down so badly; they make me sleepy; if I eat during the day I find it hard to get anything done. My metabolism must be really odd. But somehow I manage to keep going!

LOL! You have a really strange eating habit. As you know it's no good for health, why not you change it? Or may you just used to this routine and may it works for you. Take care~~

They say 6 small meals is best. But I don't know that something like that works out everyday for everyone. I find because I"m at home unless I find something truly occupying myself and my mind that I am snacking plus small kids snack all day anyways. I don't like it but I am working on trying to occupy myself better when I am home and be more productive. Though I worry as a nurse had said I could be hypoglycemic as well so then it comes to one of those things where should I nibble? or not? how does my head feel?

Hi there! Three meals in a day are important but for me, I eat four to five times a day. At breakfast around 6:00am, then I would eat again at around 10:am. At lunch around 12:00 then I will again at 3:00pm and last, at night at around 8:00pm. Well, I can't do it everyday. I only do it when I don't have classes. :) My metabolism is fast that's why its easy for me get hungry and I just love to eat and eat because I don't worry about gaining weight because like what I've said about my metabolism. Sometimes I eat at night when I woke up. :)

You said you don't care about the weight while eating, then you are a so lucky girl because a lot of my friends suffering form diet because they want to keep slim. You are so lucky~~

Usually, people eat three meals a day...but I've heard doctors say that it's better t eat 5 small meals in order fr your metabolism to be fast or something. I eat 3 meals but I have snacks a few hours after every meal. I can never sleep when I'm hungry so I eat snacks about 30 minutes before going to bed.

Yes I'm hungry before the midnight. I usually ate 3 meals breakfast, lunch and dinner. We take our dinner 7pm that's why we have our dinner snack so as not to get hungry before we go to bed. We just take a lite snack because we do all know it's not good to eat before we sleep because it's just going to stuck up in our stomach it would not digest or burn.

Normally, we also have 3 meals. But all doctors say that we should there are more meals every day. 4 or 5 meals are good. And We'll eat smaller food than before. But I think it's quite hard to do. Because we often have available schedule in office, in home...We must depend on other things, other people.

Yes, we all have a certain schedule every day, and if we eat more meals, we have less time to do other things. And after eating, we have to get a small rest because our stomach need blood to digest the foods, that will scatter our time into pieces and it is very bad for a busy schedule.

Basically we have three main meals. There are breakfast, lunch and dinner. So these three meals are a must for me everyday. Normally for these three, I take rice. I am person that feel something missing in my life if I don't take rice. If I feel hungry in between the meals, I will go for light refreshment such as eating 'kueh', fried noodles at 4 pm or mee soup for supper and so on.

Well, you have a good meal order then. I like rice too, and I almost eat rice everyday. But there are a lot of ways to eat rice, such like taco rice, fry rice and so on. Which kind do you like to eat?

Yes my friend, I too follow your same habit exactly. I also feel hungry when I go to bed. At that time I used to drink plenty of water . If it is not enough I used to have little fruits. Fruits wont affect you much even if you take it at night times, before you sleep

A few months ago I was working almost 16 hours a day. During those days, I ate up to 5 times a day. First I have breakfast, then lunch. In the afternoon, I have my snacks followed by dinner at around 6 or 7 pm. At 10 pm, I would go buy something to eat. And when I go home at around 1 or 2 am, if there is something to eat at my house I grab it.

Usually I only take bread and coffee for breakfast here in the office, lunch at 12 noon then snack in the afternoon then dinner at 7pm. If I feel hungry at night and sleepy at the same time, I chose to sleep. I can sleep even hungry hahaha!!! If I'm attending a seminar or retreat, I take advantage of the meals because it will not happen everyday, breakgast, am snack, lunch, pm snack then dinner! ;)

Lately, due to stomach problems, I have to eat every four hours. Of course the regular meal is not neglected. But in between there should be light meals so my stomach will not be empty. I gain weight because of this trend I started. But, I have to eat even if I don't want to yet. It is called prolonging one's life. ;))

Yes, a person basically needs 3 meals a day. But were not only limited to three meals a day. If you're hungry, you eat, but maybe just a snack just to satisfy the hunger. before you get to bed, maybe have something to much or to drink so that you you would not feel that much hungry when you go to bed.

I have 3 meals a day, when I was on vacation I would wake up around 11 or so and would just have 2 meals during the day and a snack around 3 or so cause I couldn't hold off until 5. As for eating before I go to bed, I used to do it every night. Then I got acid reflux and it made the pains come every night if I have anything at night.
