Everybody has its own style of living and being social there are certainly social norms in a society. People who are so close are sometimes hugged in order to intact intimacy . I prefer to do so and for rest of people who are at our workplace and we meet almost daily its sometimes hand shaking or just say greeting words like hello or words likewise.
How do you people do? Do you prefer to just say hello or whatelse?
Anticipating your valuable words.

I am always greeting my neighbors, co-workers, friends and family of course. I will mostly greet them "Hello", "Good Morning", "How are You" , etc. When I am meeting new people, I will get to know him/her first and followed by a handshake. Greeting people everyday makes them feel that you respect them, you care for them and you love them. Smiling and greeting to a serious or lonely person will somehow make his/her day and smile too. Even just a few words can make a down spirit become alive once again.

It defends on the the people whom I meet. Sometimes I greet them by means of handshaking or say hi or hello to them but most i did is handshaking which is very effective to acknowledgment someone and have a simple smile to them.

This depends on how well i might know a person. If it is a friend or family member, i will kiss or hug them. If it is a new acquaintance, shaking hands will be enough of a greeting.
