lost someone and wanting it back

i just let my girlfriend free but what is this feeling?
i tell everybody that i am happy now that she has her new boyfriend but why does it affect me? does it make me want her back? or maybe just pride?

First off, Hello friend & welcome to mylot!
Depending on how long you were with her, you just might not be over her yet. It can take a bit to get used to seeing her with someone else. It doesn't automatically mean that you want her back, but you could. Only you can answer that! Maybe you should try to find you someone, and see then if you still feel the feelings you are feeling.
