lover or family?

if you were to marry your fiance and your parents really really disagree with it to the extent that they will disown you because of your status in the community (rich and the fiances family is poor)and because of religion and race. what would you do? who would you choose and why?

For me, i that's the case, i will not let myself choose between the one i love and my family instead i will just prove to them that the boy you love will do all things for you despite of its status..and proving that they deserve him..'coz you yourself know the boy better than your family.. :)
and don't be mad at your family 'coz even though you're angry with them, still they are your family, they are your flesh and blood..and they just did that for the sake of your future..

Well if the family are more concerned about status in the community then it proves that they do not care about your happiness. If it was me I would say to them that look this person makes me happy and if i am happy you should be happy, if you have a problem with it then I do not want anything to do with my family.
