I saw on the news today about to boys who found $442 dollars in a parking lot and instead of keeping it they turned it in six months later no one had claimed it so the boy got the money back. Do you thank your kids would turn in the money or not. or what would you do.

If my child found the money I would expect my child to turn it in as it would be a bad example on my end if I allowed my child to keep it. Later I would thank my child for their honesty God only knows if the money is lost by a poor soul and or the money is tainted somehow, either way it would be a good deed.

I would have done the same thing. If I was a few years younger I would have taken it but when I realized that bad luck can really come into play concerning these kinds of situations, I just start being responsible, at least I'm trying to.

I would turn in the money. If my daughter found it I would have her turn it in too. For that much money you would think someone would have claimed it but I bet you they thought that it was gone and no one would turn it in. I have seen money drop out of peoples pockets before and I have always picked it up and returned it. Although I will say nothing brightens my daughters day more than finding a piece of change on the ground. She is three and it just thrills her she always tells me she wants to put it in her piggy at home.
