Yeap.. i like her..
My husband ( now ex- husband) is the oldest of all brothers then my mother-in-law always resorted to him to help others brothers.
And i dont think that is just because his brothers are adults with stable economic situation.
Whenever we had to rescue one of them and generally was either to borrow money or traveling to some distant city to see another brother .. being that we lived farther away..
Why did she not asked for any of the other son who lived near her?
We traveled almos seven hours to arrive at her house ..then she ask to us to go visit one of her children in another town.. and my coined lives in in her house ,down the street.

Hi.
I live in Brazil.
when My( ex-) mother-in-law comes to visit my ex-husband she always asks him to leave a few hours here at my house.
I like her despite everything and i know she likes me too.
What happened is past and has no more importance.
These days was birthday of my mother in law and she was very happy when i phoned to wish happy birthday.

I was very much like my ex-husbands mother. In fact our birthdays were the same only different years. He disrespected her as he did me and I should have seen it coming. It's all good..live and learn. her and I are friends to this day and I've been divorced from her son for 20 plus years.

Sorry to hear that he has not complied with his mother.
I am glad to know that you two are friends 'till today.
I hope that will continue.

I also like my mother in law but she lives in a nearby town.
She is good woman but i think if she lived in the same city as me, we might have problems.. not too serius but maybe some minor problems.

When my husband and i were just newly weds, my mother-in-law would sometimes meddle with us. However, an answering incident for her meddling with us , stopped it. She learned now, that i am an opinionated person too and doesn't want to be intimidated by anybody.
In all honesty, now we get along fine. I always ask God to be patient with everybody specially my in-laws since they are seniors already.

You do well to have patience.
The mother -in-law just want the welfare of the children and can sometimes exaggerate..They err not by malice but by trying to take care of their children as if they were still children.
I think it happens more with the mothers of the husbands than mothers of wives...lolol

I love my mother-in-law! She's nice, caring, and way more motherly than my actual mother. She doesn't hate me or mind her son and me being together. I can talk to her about anything and everything I need to, and she'll listen and offer advice.

I love my mother in law. She really cares about me and is really nice. She can help me with anything I need help with and she always goes out of here way to help me. She loves my family too which I think is very important.
