Gael Kakuta to Fulham

United States

Chelsea striker Gael Kakuta has almost completed a loan move to Fulham. The 19 year old French forward has undergone a medical and will join Fulham shortly. Fulham signed Kakuta, who had been wanted by clubs such as lille and bordeaux. Kakuta should be a great addition to Fulham and Kakuta will gain experience going somewhere where he plays. But the question is, how much will he play when Fulham already have Clint Dempsey, Adam Johnson, etc.?

With Drogba, Anelka and Kalou ahead of him, there is very little chance for Kakuta to get any real timing on the field. So a loan deal out to Fulham can be a good choice. Yes, they have their own strikers but you can be sure that no manager would want to get a player on loan and not play him at all.

Kakuta will score many goals for Fulham this season I just hope he won't score for them against us, that would really suck if he gets a game winning goal while playing Chelsea.

I think it is good move for all the parties involved. Kakuta would get some game time at Fulham. That would be great for his development. For Fulham they will have a quality player as they get into the back end of the season. I do think that he will play quite a few games for Fulham. Cheers! Ram

I haven't seen this Kakuta playing a lot, so I don't know what to tell about him. But this is a very common thing, for young players to be sent on loan from great clubs to smaller ones, to give them match practice. I don't know Fulham players well, but I think if this Kakuta guy is talented he will get his chances to play regularly there.

Of course ,for Kakuta,he can get more chance to play in Fulham than in Chelsea. If he grasp any chance to show himself,he can get more. It is a good model for young player.
