To be a writer one must be observant to his surroundings. You can get inspirations and subjects to write when you know how to observe people and your surroundings. You must have your own style. Writing an article is like an art/skill most times. Even the best writers have writers block and cannot write a novel each year, while other can so several times a quarter. Basically you find a topic that you truly have interest with and are passionate and clear as to what you like about it. Write out all your general key points and do some research to back up your subject. You review, add and edit until you yourself find it something that perhaps would pick up and read.
