Craigslist vs Ebay

What are your thoughts on when to use Craigslist and when to use Ebay? Certain value, certain item, certain personality reaching out to? What am I to expect from each case scenario in your opinion? I am looking to post on either site and want to know which one should I dedicate more time to when trying to stay on top of the item(s) being hosted by the site for review of purchase.
I have worked with posting on Craigslist before and have come up with zero responses...what should I do (besides typing title in caps, keeping summary short but informative and posting a picture)to help my item stick out for purchase?
I have not worked on Ebay before and I feel so lost scrolling around there and trying to figure out how to stay on top. Thoughts on how to navigate better?
Thanks for your help/discussion.

I prefer Ebay. I don't like Craigslist at all. I don't really know what you mean by "navigate better".

I think it depends very much on what you are trying to sell. But Craigslist is full of loonies, in my experience, while Ebay is more serious. On the other hand, it is easier to be more local with Craigslist, but how well that works depends on where you live, I think.
But I would say, if you can send the items you are trying to sell through the mail, go for Ebay. If you can't, then go for Craigslist (if you need someone to pick the stuff up).

It seems that Craigslist in my mind is easier to work with but the people seem extremely flaky. One minute they are excited about your item and want to own it then the next they lose all contact with you and essentially fall off the face of the earth? Why is that? No pride to just say they don't want it or cannot afford it, while I am hanging on trying to be fair and keep it posted but delay responses since the best offer came in and those people flaked. It really is hard to deal with and that's why I am wondering if Ebay is worth it. as noted in my comment on the other post, I just want a certain amount for the item and trying to figure out the best way to obtain that.
