Do you consider an oxymoron to be funny or to be irritating when someone uses them? A few examples are: open secret, larger half, living dead, and found missing....so many more to list but this is just a start. I feel like I have become very judgmental when I read someone posting with an oxymoron and either at one end of the spectrum I laugh (almost hysterically, because they usually are a sarcasm booster in speech and discussion) or find myself saying "there's no such thing, that doesn't make sense." So here I am not knowing what I consider an oxymoron to contribute to my reading and writing sensibilities, what about your thoughts? Fun...annoying...redundant...not something you really put much thought into? Thanks!

For a start, I don't really know what is an oxymoron... I don't think I ever use it. I would use an opposite word to show my sarcasm with an apostrophe: like: this 'nice' guy, this 'so amazing' people, etc.
