All round performance from Jonathan Trott keeps the series alive

All round performance from England all rounder Jonathan Trott ensures a win for England in 7 match O.D.I. series between Australia and England being played in Australia and keep the series alive. Australia presently lead the series 3-1. Australia would have sealed the series if they had won the match to day but Jonathan Trott had different Idea. First with the bat he scored a brilliant century 102 of 143 balls and then with the ball he took 2 important wickets of White and Hussey. He was ably supported by wicket keeper batsman Matt Prior who scored 67 of 93 balls and some useful contributions from lower order batsmen. England finished their innings at 299 for 8. Requiring 6 runs an over to win the match and series, Australia could not maintain the tempo and lost the wickets at regular interval ending the day 22 short of target at 278 for 7. A win to day ensured that England remains in hunt for O.D.I. series victory to give their confidence a big boost before all important world cup next month.

Hi MSDivkar,
England have managed to keep interest in the series alive. The pitch slowed down considerably after about 25 over & stroke making became extremely difficult.
England did have the benefit of batting when the pitch was at its best for bowling. Brett Lee is becoming more like Aktar ( Losing steam after couple of matches)
Despite all this the match was pretty interesting. I am sure that most Aussie Fans will be mad at Clark for his batting failure once again. 
What gladdened me the most was to see all batsmen struggling on slow pitches. This means that both these teams will not be a threat for India in the subcontinent.

Trott is having a great tour.
He played well in the last game as well but did not get support.
Comeback of Anderson has certainly lifted the spirits of England bowlers.
Good comeback by England. I would like to see them win the series.

He bowled better then most other regular English bowlers, he and collingwood bowled beautifully to ensure australia didnt win the series on Australia day.
