Arsenal beat Ipswich 3-0 on the night and 3-1 on aggregate to secure their place in the finals of the Carling Cup. They will face either West Ham or Birmingham City, teams that they can certainly beat. Will this be the defining moment for the highly talented team? Will this be that first trophy in a list of many more to come? What is your views on this? Cheers! Ram

Yeah.... Arsenal will go to Wembley. This will be the first League Cup win for Arsenal. For all this while Arsene field a mixture of young and experiences. By that time the squad just not big enough and injuries always a concern. this season, arsenal have the luxury to play anyone they like and still form a very strong side. The only long term injuries concern are Vermaelen and Diaby. Arsenal will win the final by 3 goals. I hope this win will be the spring board for the squad to conquer it all domestically or Europe.

Wow! That is a bold prediction. Statutory Warning: Cup Finals are known to throw surprises. Remember Portsmouth winning the FA Cup some time back. Cheers! Ram

Very bold but I'm very optimistic about Arsenal chances. Birmingham might park the bus in front of the goals and try to drag it on penalty, but Arsenal will sooner or later break them down.

I think so if they can keep the team together, Here with american Football, My Only reference , A team wins it all and then the players are traded or retire. But if a team can keep the core players , there is always a chance for a dynasty to form. or if the coaching staff remains and has a strong system. A system where they can put in Any good player and make them a champion. So does Arsenal have most of their team signed for more than one more year? Will the coaches remain? If so, Then this is only the beginning!

Arsenal is one of the traditional soccer clubs and has a manager who thinks in building things from the base. So the core of his team is usually built on youth whom he brings to the club at a very early age or are groomed in the Arsenal academies. In 2005, he made the mistake of trading off two of his most experienced players including his then captain, Viera. Since then they have not won a trophy and that has been attributed to lack of experience in the squad. They have been in positions of winning something and then threw it away regularly over the last 6 years. So everyone is looking for them to win that elusive first title which could then start this talented team to higher returns!! Cheers! Ram

If they can win the Carling cup, it can be a springboard to greater things. Winning can be a habit and who knows if they do lift the Carling cup, it can give them the motivation for the rest of the season. I just hope that they can do it.

I think that Arsenal will have no problem to win this trophy, although it is not the most important one. They have great players and a fantastic coach, who seems to have a great eye when buying cheap, young and talented players and has the special ability to form a team from this players. And I also think that Arsenal will fight till the last breath to win the Premier League as well, because I don't see United not loosing some games. They were close yesterday, but still managed to win.

Cup finals have a funny way of playing out. Underdogs have a real go in that one off match and could catch a weary Arsenal cold on their day. But the good thing for Arsenal is that West Ham which could be one of the finalist is in a relegation dog fight and are going to be equally weary. Birmingham are not yet out of the relegation dog fight, so they are going to be weary as well. So this is the best chance for Arsenal. Cheers! Ram

Winning the Carling cup will lift the motivation of players. There will be self belief in them about winning competitions. The first trophy will certainly pave the way for many more to come. Arsenal should not be complacent and too eager in the final against Birmingham. They certainly have the quality to beat the blues. They just need to do it professionally. Go Gunners Go.

Yes, one more good game and things could suddenly start to lift around the Emirates. You could judge from the number of Arsenal fans who came for the Ipswich match that how much this means for them!! Cheers! Ram

I'm a fan of Arsenal and I think we'll definitely win CC and we've got good chances for at least one other Trophy, hopefully the Premiership or the CL.

I think both these would be very difficult this season with Man U having a 5 point lead at the top of the league. And in CL with Barcelona being their next opponent, it is going to be really difficult for Arsenal to get past them. Cheers! Ram
