There are many different areas you can read about in books. I sometimes read about economic facts and theories, all kind of fiction stories, non-fiction about people biography as a thrilling story. You can read interesting travelling adventures. It depends on your hobbies as well as your interests in certain subjects and areas to choose the books you want to read. Have exciting journey reading books.

Just go to your local bookstore or library and find something that interests you. What genres of books do you enjoy? Because I like fantasy novels, and I can't recommend a good mystery or romance or whatever it is that you enjoy and I can't guarantee that you'll enjoy my favorite fantasy novels.
As to something that recently came out... check the New York Times bestsellers. I tend to read just whatever instead of looking at what's new and popular, but the New York Times is a great place to find out what's new and popular.

There's plenty! I'd suggest Christopher Paolini's Inheritance Cycle which starts with "Eragon", Stuart Hill's Icemark Chronicles which start with "Cry of the Icemark", Donita K. Paul's Dragon Keeper Chronicles which start with "Dragonspell", and Jeffery Overstreet's The Auralia Thread which starts with "Auralia's Colors". Another one of my favorites is Terry Brook's Shannara and Magic Kingdom of Landover series, but those are a little older (From the 80s... but technically they're still ongoing).
Have fun! I hope you find some great books.
