Hello mylotters,
Have any of you taken a cruise anywhere? if so where? how long did you stay? was it fun and people nice on the boat? was food good? did you make a lot friends along the way. Was the waitress good and cabins clean and fresh? If you have not taken a cruise where would like to go if you had the means?
Thanks and have a great day!

I haven't taken a cruise anywhere yet but I hope to do so this year. I would love to go to the Carribbean or the Gulf of Mexico or else a cruise of the Mediterranean. I love boats anyways and eating and nightlife so I think this would be a wonderful vacation for me. And I don't think I would feel claustrophobic as some people feel being "trapped" on the cruiseship.
How about you unique16? Have you ever taken a cruise? If you did, did you enjoy it?
Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

I went on a cruise with a lot of my family about seven years ago (I roomed with my sister in a very small cabin, but it didn't matter because we didn't spend a lot of time in the room). We went to Mexico, specifically Playa del Carmen and Cancun. These are of course cities not riddled with the crime parts of Mexico have, such as Tijuana. Playa del Carmen and Cancun were amazing. The food on the ship was out of this world. The cabin stewards were so kind, and very attentive. The entire experience was a joy I shall never forget. The cruise was for six days and five nights. And I enjoyed every single one of them. If I could afford to, I would go on another cruise. I'd like to go to the Bahamas. Many years ago my parents went on a cruise there for their 20th wedding anniversary. I remember them coming back so excited. And I'd love to do that too.

Hello AmbiePam,
Yes, that is where I want to go is Caccun. It seem so peaceful and relaxful and the ocean breeze wow I am day dreaming and see myself there already. We just 24 inches of snow and how I want be there and not here right in this cold and all that shoveling. The sunshine, warmth, sand, sleeping and hearing the waves to lull you to sleep and sea shells and the food and restaraunts.
Thanks for sharing on this cruise question I do hope your get to the bahamas.

Yes I had the Fortune to Cruise to the Caribbean Island of Nassau with My Family. I had a Great Time with Generous Yummy Food and a Fine Crew. One Week of Fun in the Sun. Nassau was Beautiful and the People were Friendly. They would Dive into the Ocean as some of the Tourist would Toss some Coins over Board.

I have been on 6 cruises! I sailed on the old Carnival Troipicale in 1995 , the Carnival Fantasy in 1996, the Disney Magic in 1998, the Carnival Inspiration in 2007, the Disney Wonder in 2008, and the Celebrity Century in 2010. Half of the ships I sailed stopped by Nassau, both Disney ships stopped by Castaway Cay, the other half stopped by Cozumel, the Carnival Tropicale stopped by New Orleans, and the Celebrity Century stopped by the Honduran isle of Roatan (beautiful flutin' place, dude).
But if you were to make me discuss about one recent cruise, it would be one on the Celebrity Century. The cabins were small as heck, the food was somewhat worse and mediocre as the first voyage with the Disney Magic, and the entertainment was somewhat ho-hum. For the latter, the shows used piped music rather than their in-house orchestra with horns. Worst of all, it rocks a lot because it has no stabilizers. I wouldn't say it was the worst cruise, but it's something I want improved.
