What kind of fish do you fish for? do fish in lakes and streams or the ocean?

I love to fish but that does not mean I am good at it at all lol. My husband will tell you that I am just getting my hook wet, or feeding the fish. However, I still enjoy it, it can be relaxing. Personally, since I am such a short person I cannot use a pole that has a long rod. It has to be shorter than your typical one, so I can throw it out further. With a long/regular rod I just cant seem to throw it very far. I usually can only find short rods at pawn shops. We fish in the TN river so we are known for catfish. However, I cannot seem to hook those suckers because you have to fish on bottom, and go with the feel of your pole if you are getting a bite. So I fish for bream or crappie which you can use the float. I know when the float goes under I have a bite, and I have a better chance at getting it.
