Good afternoon fellow myLot bloggers. I am currently living in Chicago, IL. Originally from Florida and my husband and I are wanting to relocate to the Carolina's. Was just curious what people had to say about Greenville, SC; Charolette, NC; and Winston-Salem. I AM 28 years old ( a nurse who is now a stay at home mom) and my husband is 29 years old and is an engineer. We just had a beautiful baby boy and want him to be raised with the strong southern values. Plus the cost of living is much cheaper then Chicago. My Dad is from Georgia and his Mom is from Greenville, SC but I do not remember much of it.
Basically, we are looking for a fun town with activities to do on the weekend. we love the outdoors..skiing, kayaking, etc. If anyone can give us feedback on the towns and what they have to offer for a young family let us know=). Thanks in advance and I look forward to the responses.

My brother in law lives near Greenville. He seems to like it, he and his wife have been living there for about 4 years now. The cost of living is really inexpensive there which is why he lives there. We have not yet been there to visit him yet so we have not actually seen how it is there, but he seems happy there and fine with it.

Thanks for the response! The cost of living is a BIG factor in why we are trying to move there. For our two bedroom condo here in Chicago we could get a beautiful 5 bedroom home there. Wit having a new baby and two dogs it is time to leave the windy city!
