Ok, I know some of you are going to think I am nuts writing a Christmas post in the middle of January. However, I was driving home last night and noticed a few people still had lights and I thought to myself OK those are pretty. That's not the end of it though there were some with Christmas trees well lighten shining through their windows. Now I for one LOVE Christmas. It is my favorite time of the year but I take my tree down the first week in January. Does anyone else have trouble of letting go of Christmas and the pretty decorations it brings or know of people that do?

I certainly like Christmas a lot and we decorate the house but I take the tree down before New Years. This year it came down two days after Christmas was over. I actually saw a few in my area shining through the windows and had the same thoughts. It made me laugh a little. I imagine they are fake trees because mine did not have many needles left on it when I took it down.
I prefer to have the tree up from Thanksgiving to Christmas and then call it good. About a month or so is enough for me.

JodyLEE,
First off if that is your name I love it!! I love the two part names. If not very cool username. Second, I think your timeline of having the tree up is perfect!! I never thought about having it up at Thanksiginvg but why wouldn't you? It is a great time ot have up. Family still gathers and you have that delicious meal. OK, now I am hungry.

Thank you for the name compliment. It is my First and Middle name actually, and I really like the way they sound together.
From Thanksgiving to Christmas we do entertain a lot and having the tree up just makes it feel better. It is the holidays after all. We have a lot of great meals for the holidays and yes it makes me hungry to think about as well. I love seafood dinner on Christmas Eve, it is my favorite.
