Have you ever been attacked by a dog or another animal? What Kind?

Some years back, I had a dog bite. I don't know what type of a dog it was. I was walking along a road in the suburb I was living in. All of a suddenly, a dog jumped over the fence in front of a house and ran up to me and bit. Oh, that was so bad. Since then I am scared of dogs, and have been very careful with them. I do not have dogs as pets in my house either, since then.
