Meaning of Life!

Life! Even at an age of 22, this word still appears strange to me! Because i have not yet fully understood it (and perhaps i never will!) We took birth on the earth without our consent and we too will die without the same! In between these two, is the phase when things are in our control (though they never are for me!) and try our best to make it the best indeed! Right from our birth, we perform our duties. We cherish some moments of joy and we have sufferings (a lot again, in my case) too! But then, is that what we are meant to do? Just perform our duties, live the way others live, just feel emotions and stuff? Whats the real meaning of life? That is, what actually are we here for? What do you think? Just give a thought to this question- What are you here for?

Reality of life is in fact neither good nor bad, it is a very plastic inkblot sort of thing that can be bending and twisted in various directions depending on your beliefs.

There are many forms of life, that constitutes this place called earth. We are created to perform a tasks different from each other, each incorporates their lives to one another to survive. Like human beings are different from animals, birds, fish, etc.. etc..and human has also a tasks to tread, and that's what you are saying as life. Human beings lives the way as what we see, hear, feel, etc..etc.. when we're born. So, we follow the way of our great..great..grandfathers. As the years had passed, life forms changes their behavior, feel, etc..etc..likewise humans too. So, we are living here on this world on the basis of survival to perform the chain of humanity. If you think that your life has no purpose, then that's your view and you have the right for that because you are born in different geographical situation. You have different race, beliefs, environment, etc..etc..Your thinking is not the same as ours. We have our own beliefs that we are born to fulfill that purpose, live the way our life fully, discover and create things to be great use to mankind, etc..in a right path, knowing that we are treading our life in a right way. If you have this motivation in yourself, then you value life; if you don't believe the meaning life, then for sure you don't like your situation right now, or your knowledge is short and you have to study and learn more about creation, evolution, physics, theology, humanities, psychology, modern sciences, biology, and other subjects that you can learn to know the meaning of life. Thank you.

Thank you for your response sir, but i am in science stream, and i have studied all these topics in deep. But those are just physical facts that we have studied. Have you ever thought what actually are we, if you go to those material facts? Where did matter and energy came from? (in short the origin of universe) If these things does exist right now, what actually was there before they didnt exist? What is this whole concept of universe and where did this all came from? Some more questions can be put up about life too in a similar fashion. Can you answer them all? I am loaded with tones of such questions. And that is when i go blank when i think about them. Whatever you said is correct, but i guess, we will understand the real purpose of being here when we will get an answer to those mystifying questions. What do you think?

They say that life on earth is but a journey, we are here to live to determine if we are worthy of the "life" beyond. This thought serves as a guiding force for me to make my life on earth as pleasant as possible in the eyes of the One who gave this to me. If we only focus on our own selves alone, we may probably not see the purpose or meaning of life, because it lies in our communing with others who help us see the very reason we are living. You're still young. Take your time. There's more to life.

How existential of you. You have defined your life as an existance. Life is knowing. Knowing yourself, knowing others, knowing your desires, knowing your needs and knowing your belief system. (God, Greater being, etc.) Making the best of things only allows for material things and doing duties. Why? Comfort and allowing yourself to externally reference yourself to your community. Knowing yourself requires some committment to understanding what and why your feel the things you do. You are a set of genetic predispositions and emotional experiences which creates your personality. Once you know yourself, you can begin understanding others, your desires and your needs. Once you get there, you can step into the realm of belief. What you believe about yourself and your abilities to be in the world gives meaning to life. Being existential is easy but has no meaning. Believing in something by exploring yourself and the world creates meaning for that life which has none for you at the present.

I beleive we are here to serve one another. Life is strange but it is also so beautiful. There is a lot we do not understand. I think the meaning of life is relative to who we are. I think that one meaning that we all should look at is living for self-respect not for self-interest. What a better world it would be if we all lived that way. Enjoy life, that is a reason. Just do so in good faith. I have thought about all who have come before and all that will come after. How life was and will be so different for them. Maybe we are just the subatomic to another larger world. If you look at life on the basis of scales then who is to say that we are not just another step on the later when it comes to size. Why do we just assume that we are at the top of the later. I think about this quiet often. Something are hard to fathom. We have to learn to open our eyes and our mind to all possibilities. I could go on and on about this. This is one of my favorite subjects. Please, I hope we can talk more about.

Interesting! I am getting your point here. There could be a larger world above our imagination and we could be just a very small part of it. We havent yet discovered the deepest secrets of the universe, so ya, anything is possible. But what actually does happen after we die? And i didnt get your statement that why do we assume that we are at the top of the later? What actually are you trying to say?

I have been a Yogi for twice as long as you are old, and You can believe me when I say,"Nobody ever has to do anything he/she didn't choose." My Yogi training included meditation, and it was during this time that I began to see Past Lives. Reincarnation is for real, and unlike religion, reincarnation is a proven fact (no Faith needed). Each person lives many lives, and before being born again is allowed to choose many things about the next physical life on earth. Things like parents, location, education, and even life experiences. This is the reason no one is ever abused, or made to suffer without giving prior consent.Experiences such as these are always the choice of the victim, for reasons only known to him/herself.We live each physical life to experience and grow closer to perfection. (God) Check out reincarnation on the internet or at your local bookstore.

Sir, i dont have any right to question what you said, but i find it difficult to believe that. I do believe in God as such, but reincarnation and stuff is like hard to believe. I personally have experienced that certain things arent in our control though we try our best to control them. There is some supernatural power that is governing our lives, whom i believe as God.

ha! Life is valuable. Life is short. Life is just liked a dream to everyone. We have to appreciate of whatever we have at the moment. Once we wake up from our dream, it is the time for us to leave. ha! ha! ha! We never want to end up with regretful. Make ourselves great in our life journey.

Life??? Many people still wondering why they are here living in this world. I would say this questions are the most difficult to answer, but I would also say it the most easiest one. It is difficult to answer for people who still doesn't know where there life is going. And for people like me its easy to answer, ask me why? To be satisfied with your life, first you have to answer this question: "What is the purpose of your LIFE?". This question is a personal one, nobody can answer this for you, because the answer to it, is the one that will be your guide or direction on how you live your life. If you can put a meaning to your life without thinking anything, you will see it would make you happy even how bad the world can be. ^_^
