Will there be a possibility and forces Rooney to win the golden ball this year?

Teh name of the Rooney is not among the nominees, which was not surprising to the presentation of England's World cup in South Africa. Michael Owen is the last Englishman to win this prize in 2001!

To be fair Rooneys season has been very poor for his standards therefore I aint surprised that he isnt in the list of nominees. I know he has had a few issues with injuries however still looks to me to be a long way from his best form.
