I built a website with Weebly. They are a free website builder.
They are the best that I've seen so far!
However what concerns me is that they charge an insane amount of money if you choose to buy a domain through their services.
To purchase a domain through their service cost a whopping $40 per year!
At the time of purchase, I was so impressed with their site & their free hosting, that I thought maybe it was a normal fee & I did not bother to check around.
By the time the domain was set to expire, I decided to shop around for the best value & was shocked at the dirt cheap prices Go Daddy was offering. I seriously considered switching registrars but was dissuaded by the seemingly complicated process.
Since weebly makes everything simplified by pressing a payment button to keep your domain, I felt that I could do without the hassle and just stick with them.
Another $40 gone & here I am again faced with renewing the domain again almost 1 year later. I decided to take the more complex route and march forth with GoDaddy! The process was certainly more complicated but it was definitely worth it! I ended up paying a transfer fee, with which I got 1 year free... plus I bought 8 more years all for the dirt cheap price of $69.00! My domain is valid until 2020!
Whoooooooooooooooooooooooo...Sweet!!!
It's a really good feeling!
