I am sure that we all know the accident regarding the workers falling from the improvised construction elevtator. it's should be clear to them from the start that the elevator was good for three or four workers at a time. but why did it take seven to ten? My condolence on these people that died but they never should have rush it! the cops in the news said that it was their break time..
Usually, Construction workers bring their lunch boxes instead. they never should have gone to that elevator at the same time and instead just wait for their turn.
What do you think? i don't think they're children, the contractor or who ever the boss was doesn't need to remind them that it only needs 3 to 4 people to go in that limited strength elevator.
I feel sad, it's clear that being a construction worker is a dangerous job.

Indeed it is sad but partly they are to be blamed for what happened. This is a typical Filipino trait that should be removed. The trait of doing things in short cut. They were all in a hurry and they did not think that they will meet there end that way.

It's the way some construction workers behaved in such a dangerous job. They're thinking that they can rewind their lives in such a horrible accidents. Frankly speaking, if they knew about this thing, why they did that thing? It's their intelligence on such matter or their customary attitude as Filipinos, with ego that no one can understand why? Nevertheless, it's the employer who's responsible for what happened the other day. Because of poverty construction workers do odd jobs without knowing the consequences of their work.

What went into their minds when they decided to ride the makeshift elevator all at once? It is the "bahala na" working in them and so without much thought, they just jumped in. It is so sad that we seem to be very lax when it comes the safety of our workers. There's just too much negligence and lack of foresight on the people in charge.

I heard from the news that all the workers involved in the accident belongs to another company subcontracted to install the glass panes for the condo building being constructed.
It's really dumbfounding that these workers never realized that the service elevator holding them can only accomodate a maximum of 3 people. What were they thinking? Perhaps there should be an investigation if the company that hired them even gave them safety instructions, and why there seems to be no supervisors or safety engineers who sees to it that they know the do's and dont's so tragic accidents like this will never happen.

They're are so called safety engineers that would be reminding and watching them. It's a sad news bad sometimes the safety engineers can't look at them all at the same time, it's always been you can make your self safety so that accident can be avoided.
