Hi Jaspreestsr. Welcome to myLot! Personally, I've never had any problems at all sending OR receiving money from Western Union. I usually use it more around the holidays or for special days like birthdays. Never had a bit of a problem. No.......I take that back. When I'm receiving money, the security is really tight. It's best to be prepared. Take all the documentation you need because it makes the process a lot smoother and faster. The MTCN, your photo ID, all the info of who sent you the money......like their name, address, phone number, etc. The more information you provide on the form, the better. It's a very secure system. They've also just introduced a "membership" card thing where you fill out a form with all your information, they give you a card that's connected to their computer system and you never have to fill out a form to either get or receive money. Very cool! The only other problem I think there is are with the fees. It's pretty expensive to send the money. They charge a certain percentage of what you send and sometimes you have to pay the same amount if you were sending $100 or $500. But, you're paying for the convenience, right????? lol.
