The Long and Short of it?

I was just wondering today about what guys prefer. I mean, as I understand it, most chaps out there prefer their ladies to have long hair. Well most men I have come across recently have all said that they prefer women to have long hair anyway. When I was married my husband wanted me to keep my hair long but I would tie it up all the time and he would often complain that my hair got in his way whenever I did have it down, I couldn't win LOL So men, do you prefer women to have long or short hair? Women? Does your man prefer you have long or short hair?

I like the Femininity that long hair gives a Woman, and the options of hair style it can give..A Woman I worked with had waist length hair at the time of Her Wedding, and by the time She'd had their first Child,She'd cut it short, prompting Her Husband to comment "I Married a Boy!"

Hi ShephedSpy Aww I bet she felt awful at that comment. She probably did it because long hair like that just simply isn't practical when you have children it would be permantly full of puke, food and heaven knows what else!! LOL Thanks for your response

Yep,caring for the baby was the reason She'd had it cut,but it sure made a difference to her appearance-While working,(before) She'd have had her hair coiled up and pinned..Quite Schoolmarmish..and when She was out socialising and let her hair down (Literally!) after work,it was quite a transformation..She and her hubby had a wicked sense of humour-It was She who told Me the story, and She was laughing about it at the time!

Yeah. I also wonder the same. Why do men love long hair? My partner likes my hair long and doesn't want me to cut it above the shoulders. It's definitely hot in our country and having a long hair just adds up to the problem. Well, he doen't have the decision all the time. It's my hair and I think I have every right to decide whether to cut it or not. I had it cut just in line with my jaw. He was very mad at me for doing that. I guess it pleases them to look at girls with long hair. Maybe it makes them h***y?:).haha... no matter what, maybe we ook more feminine with long hair?

Hi ya desertsong I used to tie mine up all the time into a long ponytail, there really was no point in me having long hair because it got in the way of the kids when they were babies and apparantly in my husbands way. When I went to bed I would tie it up into like a bun ontop of my head so it wouldnt get in his way. When I finally left him the first thing I did was to cut all my hair off and the told me that I had a bend in my hair where I had tied it up in the same place for such a long time!!!! Thanks for your response and you cut your hair if it is better for in hot temperatures and all that, it is not your husband that has to put up with it!!

Hi ya bunnybon7 Funny how most guys prefer long hair isn't it? I am sure it is because they wand a woman to look like a woman as there can be something masculine about a woman with short hair but the same goes for a guy with long hair!! LOL Thanks for your response

Like you when I was married my husband practically demanded long hair...until it got in his face when we were sleeping or tickled him when we were snuggling, but everytime I would offer to cut it short he would quickly say "don't you think you about it, leave your hair alone". I have talked to many guys and they all say the same thing long hair is sexy but its frustrating when it gets in the way. As for my personal preferance it all depends. Some guys look sexy with long hair, but considering I married a military man...sometimes clean cut is just as sexy. So I think it all depends on the person, some people look good in some styles while others look good in others.

Hair is an important asset for every women.Guys will like long hair only. In earlier days the artist has described about woman's hair and they told that length of the hair had made so many kings to fall in love with them.

Most of the men I know, including my brother and friends, prefer their ladies to have long hair. Maybe they think of it as more feminine. I used to have long straight hair. When I decided to have it styled (with bangs and layers), some of them commented that they miss my long straight hair.

Hi there hlgmdt It's funny how the second you cut your hair everyone tells you how nice it was long, when it is too late to do anything about it haha. I think it is good to have a really good short cut now and again. Many thanks for your response

My husband's the same way. Even though he prefers me having long hair, it seems to almost always get in his way. And if it doesn't get in his way, it's a nuisance in other ways. Heck, it's even scared him before, and here he doesn't scare easily! LOL But he'd still rather me have long hair over short any day as he finds it really sexy on me, even if it is a pain in the butt. LOL Happy mylotting!

I like both long and short hair. Mostly though I like what the woman prefers!! I do like hair to be well cut and clean. But it's not her hair that atracts me to a woman but her eyes! Being red blooded there are one or two other parts that I like too. But on first meeting it's the eyes for me. Her hair is as it is and I'm OK with that. The Boss's hair is short and has been for as long as I've known her.

Hi sweetie. So glad to see you here. When I was young and when I married my hair was very long and yes, almost waist length. My husband adored my thick straight long hair. But it was hot so after the second baby I cut it to shoulder length in a style a bit like Farrah Fawcett - was it called a sh*g? will this be deleted? Then I cut it right off for a few years - really short! But this past year I have grown it longer so I would love to change my profile picture but have forgotten how to do it

Hi ya Cynthia Tis good to see you too and a very belated but Happy New Year to you and yours. I think you can get away with saying shag as it is English not an American English word. My hair was halfway down my back when I cut it off and I went short but really really short, not quite a skin head but not that far off either haha Take care and if you need help to change your pic then give me a shout hun

I'm a girl. I like both long hair and short hair. But my boyfriend only likes long hair. He meet me at natural hair: black color, no stretching, no dyed and bending etc...

As a preference, i like my women to have long hair. To me it looks more feminine on a girl. Having short hair or long hair is not a deal breaker though. Some women look better with long hair while some look better with short hair. i like women who is confident with their hairstyle and looks good with short or long hair.

Hi ya raheemsupercool I do agree with you that women do look more feminine with longer hair but sometimes women hit a certain age and long hair no longer is an option. Thanks for your response
