The Ind-Eng ODI, supposed to be held at the Eden Gardens, was shifted to the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore, as the former stadium could not be ready for the world cup..Eden gardens was given an extended deadline of 25th January for their renovation, but they failed to complete their work. What a shame for Bengal Cricket association.

The Eden Gardens, having been established in 1863, is one of the popular grounds in India for International Cricket. It was also lovingly referred as Asia's Lords ground.
It is a pity that, officials and their politics etc has brought that kind of ground to this level!
Actually, why there is no punishment for those who are responsible for this shame?
For players they would have given some severe punishment if they found him short of his responsibilities. These guys had 4 years to make the preparations but they failed! Is it negligence or something else? Who knows but they will keep doing the same thing as there is no punishment for the guys rather than the ground has to bear the punishment!
Shame on Cricket officials who make money and their livelihood from cricket and but have no love or respect for Cricket and Cricket grounds.
But Cricket fans have to suffer for their acts. There must be some way to deal with these officials and not letting them to get away easily from their negligence.
Happy Mylotting!

The Responsiility to this debacle should be bore by CAB only ..
All the stadiums that were to host world cup matches were given the same deadline ...Eden Gardens being one of the largest stadium should have prioritised their plans well ...They shouldn't have allowed KKR to host their IPL matches from there...
Instead officials went for money instead of glory ...and it is in shambles now...
If you look closer no offical is worried over this as just 4 matches would never get them money ...instead if in IPl they would get to host 14 matches and get a larger amount...
The Cricket Fans of Kolkata are only left with no choice ...not to see their home team in action ....
To hell with the administrators !!

Shame ?? what shame ??
Heard what manohar said ? According to him, W.Cup is an ICC event & they had no role in all this.
Bengal Cricket association is crying foul instead of taking responsibility for all this. Dalmiya has even written a complaint letter to ICC.
After Lalit Modi & Kalmadi episodes I have no shame left to feel.
Carry on officials ... carry on....
