We have seen a lot of great players hanging their boots when the feel it is time. Some we love and some we just glad they retire. But there are a few player we wish they can play forever. My list of players I wish he is not retire;
1. Paolo Maldini - always my favorite players. Become a role model on and off the pitch. he is a one club one woman footballers. Been stay at Milan for all his career and eventually become their captain and so the Italian national team captain.
2. Dennis Bergkamp - He is one of the genius in football field. A truly professional. Elegance and brilliance in his game. His creativity is his major asset in the game. Become the idol of young dutch footballer.
So what about you? Who do you like to see still playing now?

1) Marco Van Basten. He was one of the best strikers, if not the best during his heyday. Too bad his career got cut short by ankle injuries, the result of those crude tackles.
2) Dennis Bergkamp. For me, he is better than Henry even thou the latter is the record goalscorer for Arsenal. His creativity made everyone around him looks good.
3)Diego Maradona. The best player. Period!
4) Zinedine Zidane. He drag France in the Final of the 2006 World Cup. Too bad the fiscal in the final itself ruin everything.
5) Matt Le Tissier. Dunno if anyone hear or know about him. For those who does, you will remember all those brilliant goals that he scored. And mind you, he did it on a regular basis. He was one of the best players that did not feature much in the national setup.

(Soccer) There one, not to super famous, its Jared Borgetti. He was pretty good but announced he would retire. Shame, he was only in his thirties, still pretty young. He had great skills, especially hitting the ball in the air since he was pretty tall.

I would have loved Pele to not have retired. He played in 4 world cups which is staggering and was the world's best player ever. Then there was Maradona who played in four world cups but his off pitch dalliances hurt his on pitch heroics during the end of his career.
Cheers!

1.Romario- He was just always exciting to see when he's through on goal i remember his time at Bayern. He was and still would be one of the most feared strikers in the world.
2. Zidane- the guy went out the wrong way unfortunately but he is by far the greatest frenchman ever to play.
3.Gary Lineker- Simply one of the best England strikers he and shearer have that style of a striker to see a cross and know exactly what to do every time they have goal scoring oppurtunity.

Since you already named my favorites, I can only add Alan Shearer - my all time favorite.
And I know it's cliche, but since you mentioned Bergkamp, I have to say Marc Overmars, these two are forever tied for me, I think it's unfair for one to play forever while the other is retired.

Didier Drogba. If he could never retire he would score so many FA Cup and Champions League goals for us.

There are three players which I would like to see on the pitch forever:Didier Drogba,John Terry and Frank Lampard-all of them have been the heart and soul of Chelsea for many seasons and I find it difficult to imagine the squad without them,but I'm aware that the moment will come for them to end their gloroius career;I just hope there will be other players who will become symbols for Chelsea.
