Will there be an Islamic revolution in Egypt?

I've been watching the uprising in Egypt live on tv. Assuming the protestors are successful, will they end up with a full democracy, or will the Islamists take over?

I think it is way too soon to say. I have no idea what will happen if the protests lead to change, I don't think even the Egyptians know this. But I certainly hope the Islamists won't be in charge, that can't lead to any good. But their Nobel price winner could be a very good, modern and clever leader for them I think! So my fingers are crossed that he will take over in that case.

I agree it is early. I am hoping that it will be a secular democratic government that takes over. But who knows? The bolshevics took over Russia after brief rule by secular powers, and the Iranian Islamists overthrew the secular gov that ruled briefly after the fall of the Shah. However, I do hope that the Egyptian people are not outdone by extremists.
