I am so frustrated with some of the new chords I'm trying to learn. My hands are kinda small and stretching them across three frets for F and B is making me sore and angry. I can't stand it. I feel like I need to find alternate hand positions because I don't think I can do it. Any advice?

I still remember the first time I tried to play the instrument. I understand your frustration guys, but guitar playing is actually a persistence test (99% vs. 1 % inspiration)... Well try these tips, It really works for me.
1. give yourself a 15 min ritual a day or less if the time doesn't really permits you to do so - hold your guitar and play those chords, if your fingers hurt, stop for a while and continue it tomorrow, before you know you can actually play better off everyday
2. don't rush - playing the instrument is an experience... savor every moment of it.
3. Be inspired by watching videos of great guitarist online - and focus on a thought that someday you will be as good as them or even better...
4. it is a continous learning process - just imagine yourself an online character that level up each day. 1 song is a one down monster, and gain experience from it..
5. Try and continue to explore new things about the instrument - there is always something new for sure, THAT ACTUALLY KEEPS THE BOREDOM AWAY ^_^

Same here, im also having problems with bar chords especially with B and F chords and sharp and flat chords. I don't actually the pain in forming chords since i could manage the pain but i think the problem is that i could not seem to make bar chords sound perfect. Im not sure if i would just stick with the piano since its really much easier to play.
