I've done night shifts for the this month and requested to be returned on the morning shift as i'm a morning person and having troubles sleeping after work in the night shift. Besides, we're moving out next month so I need to do a part time job so I can raise the money to pay for the expenses and the business my mom wanted to have. I don't know what happened to my schedule. It was messed up and I'm still doing night shifts for the month of February. I cried because I knew that I can't do anything anymore and even if I request again to have a swap schedule with someone, there's a 50-50 chance I'll be returned to my old shift at work. I'm getting depressed and writing is the only escape I could do right now. I'm also reading the bible and going out with friends but its not enough... Any other advices that you guys can give me? I'll be leaving on the second week of February for a vacation, I just hope and wish that this feeling will go away before that so i won't ruin my vacation at all..

In addition to reading your Bible, make sure you are asking God to intervene and give you the best solution. You also need to ask Him for the faith to beleive that He is watching out for you.
Maybe you could also try to talk to a friend, or maybe write out some of your thoughts. Try to understand what about the situation is most bothersome or worrisome to you. By analyzing and praying you might get some new insights.

I have the Bipolar Disorder and there are times that I am depressed for months. Since I have a lot of experience with depression, I also will suggest that you write down your thoughts. Be positive in your writing, however, let me share how writing even unpleasant thoughts can help. It has taken me years of convincing that writing down bad thoughts could help me, but it has. The leading psychologists in our country tell us getting things down on paper transfers it to there and it relieves our minds. They also have labeled this method as Exposure and Reaction Therapy, which is has mainly been successfully used for people who have the Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and I also have OCD. I am not kidding! With this disorder, I used to throw mud on myself because I was was so compulsive about being so clean, such as washing my hands over and over again. Anyway, BP and OCD are a fun mix for me because they trigger one another. I have mania too, however, I have much more days of depression.
Hang in there!

Don't be depressed. When u are out working, u are at the mercy of the company and your boss. U can request for things, but they have a right to reject u. IT's a give and take thing. If u are not happy with the wya things are going on in the company and your schedule, u have a choice to quit and find a better job. If job is hard to come by, be glad to have a job and stay there. Things will work out eventually.

Hi. If your schedule was messed up, try finding out the reason why it happened. Ask for help from the person you directly report to and figure out a way to correct the error in the scheduling of shifts. Even if the error can't be fixed, at least the problem was brought into light so that similar mess-ups like yours would be avoided.
Enjoy your vacation. All of these will come to pass.

There is only so much you can do with a shifting schedule especially when you work in a call center. Yes, there is no assurance that you can get that day shift schedule so if I were you try looking for a call center that is day shift. Keeping the current one that you have will never give you an assurance that you will get your daytime schedule then why not look for other companies who actually has day shift accounts. It will be a bit difficult going out applying and all but if you opted to go that way then most likely you are geared towards that schedule you want. You will only get what you want if you work on it and that means making a change on something for the better.

First of all, I would think that your vacation is going to be a great help to you as far as your mental status goes. Then with your shift at work, you really need to arrange to have a meeting with your supervisor and tell them that you aren't able to properly function with the change in schedule that you've had. If you've been there for a while I would think that you will have luck in getting your schedule changed.

I think you're just a little burn out from working the night shifts. And I think that's the reason you're feeling restless and depressed. It's a good thing you're going for a vacation. I think it couldn't have come at a better time. I'm sure you'll feel a lot better when you get back. And you could do another month of night shifts.

I want you to make an appeal again to the head department of call center and request seriously. Give a valid reason. You are saying you are depressed and fed up of the people's attitude, why not thinking switching to other offline job? There are many like secretary, sales executives, teacher, and etc. GOOD LUCK

There are some things you are doing which are really right! You are going out with your friends and you're reading the bible. You might try this: When I get really depressed I write down my thoughts and I keep track of all of the things I do during the day. Write even the smallest things you do and you will find out that you got a lot done. Give it your best shot and see what happens and count these a victories. Plus, give yourself break because you moving next month and right now you're under a lot of stress because you are working nights. I know about working the night shift because I used to have a job that I worked "only" nights and it put a great deal of anxiety upon me.
As I said, I noticed you mentioned that you were reading the bible and I read the word of God everyday. Here verse Jesus spoke to his disciples to help you:
John 16:33 - "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me that ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Cheers!
