Right now I'm furnishing my blogs, and researching on the best sites that has a work at home jobs. I'm going to check them out later and would see what would be the best that will suit me. I'm polishing my writing skills and reading a lot of books now and blogs about how to work at home and pursue writing.
I just hope that this will work as I'm so sick and tired of working in a call center (it will sink in eventually and working in the business for more than 5 years now and dealing with crappy people every single day that doesn't even know the word, THANK YOU it really does do sink in my nerves now)
Any advices on starting this endeavor of mine or any success stories will be much appreciated

I work medical transcription from home. I have a pretty flexible schedule. I live in Oklahoma and work for a company out of Massachusetts. I went to online school for 9 months which cost me around $2000. I have now been doing this for 4.5 years. I make anywhere from $12/hour to $25/hour depending on how much work there is, the types of jobs, etc. I can have multiple accounts, but usually just stick with one. I only work 4 hours a day. They do require me to work a shift of T-Sat. At first, I didn't make much because you are paid by how many lines you get done and not by the hour. As you get faster at it, you can make really good money.

idont think its advisable to resign from your day job just to work online, you can never tell what may happento your online job until it is stable.

You must make sure that the money you earn from home covers all your expenses. If you're making money more than wat you earn from the call center then go ahead and quit your job, but never ever take a wrong turn. Review every online jobs before you start them, there are 90% scam out there in the internet, beware! Hopefully You'll find a good job and enjoy your life. If you happen to find some, let us know as well. Good Luck.

From most of the comments, many still doubted about work at home as a full-time job.
Indeed, they're all a good advice for the thread starter, and for me myself. Because I have a same dream about being work at home as a full-time job.
Anyone of you here have really done a full-time-work-at-home-job?
Would you like to share?

Yes you could work at home but I couldn't guess how much you can possibly earn to cover your full time job. If you have the determination, you can make it in online world. Online job is flexible and there is no limit how much you can make. So that's the reason good enough for me to stay online, how about you?

With life that is hard these days, I don't think that it is ideal for me to consider what you have stated. Leaving a job which is regular is better than to work at home which needs a lot of time and effort before you see the result.
I have tried a lot of things to work online but will never suffice the needs of my family so I needed work which is OFFLINE. I only consider work online as a part time job, I am a freelance writer, a blogger, name it I have tried it online, even to invest money to earn something but turned out not so good and got scam a couple of times. But as I have said, it depends on your ability and skill. Working online means not a fix income. The money you earn is depending if you have reached the threshold or not.
But I will never consider working online as my bread and butter. No matter how people at your workplace don't know how to say thank you, at least you get the money that you wanted to earn on a regular basis.

It's possible only if u put in a lot of hard work and effort. It's not easy to eanr a steady income from home because it does not depend on u, it depends on people online, and the site u belong to. If u are into writing, be sure to have a reputable company so that u get to earn more, and u must be really good in writing.

If you do want to work online... I would do a lot of research and before you quit your steady income... Make sure you are making at least the same amount of money you are making with you current job and of course more would be bonus. Cause I think it would be kind of stupid to leave a job that you know is going to pay you for sure for something that you are unsure about. Test it out for a while online before you make any crazy decisions... :) .. Good Luck!
