My friend is living with a lesbian...

There is someone I knew, she's having a relationship with a lesbian for more than a year now. They are so committed to each other, it seemed nothing could come between them. That friend of mine is aware that (her family and closest friend) disapprove of their relationship. Her family, her friends (including me) love her very much and it pains us to see her in this situation. I myself is concern to her, I have not failed to gave her some of my advise not to go on such kind of relationship, but she just don't listen. Marriages between same gender have been featured in newspaper and magazines. In Philippines, however, has not legalized such marriage. I know this friend of mine and her lover cannot marry each other under Philippine laws. But what will be their future? I know this is not common nowadays, but why this allowed in our society? Oh what a sad reality...:(
