Will facebook shut down on March 16???

I don't think Facebook will ever shut down. In fact , it's increasing in members as we speak , I wouldn't be surprised. Facebook will always be free and will always be around .. at least these two I always believe to be. If only there are colored profiles .. that would be great. I'd love to decorate up my dull profile. Facebook friends are friends no matter what .. as little as 12 friends or as many as 500 .. they are still called friends. Gaming friends , real friends , social networking friends .. all the same term.= Friends. I have been corresponding with an online friend for years and have received numerous parcels and gifts and I've never even met this online friend. So that's a friend to me too. Shaks , I always do this run out of topic. Sorry Sekar. Anyway I think Facebook is not going to shut down ..

ask yourself. facebook is the largest social network of the planet. it is worth more than 500 billion US dollars and generating several million dollars of cash each year. there is no reason for shutting facebook down. i think everyone who is reminding himself or herself about these key facts will know that this rumor is not true! same thing with the rumor that facebook will soon be charging for accounts. they will not do this unless they want to loose millions of users.

hi sekar, Facebook is a very sucessful site which has more members on it then any other site in this world, and surely it has more members on it then all the other social networking sites put together. Now when i joined myspace in 2005 i heard rumours like these and about yahoo messenger too. No sir it is not going to shut down and if my Zuckerberg is so stressed then he would sell it.

Hi there sekar_nimmi!!! I've heard of the same rumor from my friend and I am very shocked about it.But by asking many people close to me, I think that this thing about facebook shutting down on march 16 is just really a rumor and I hope that it will stay just a rumor. Maybe this thing is just created by those people who wants to destroy facebook and wnats to destroy of the happiness of those facebook fanatics.I will be very sad and disappointed if ever facebook will shutdown.I dont want it to happen and I am praying that it will not happen.

Hi Sekar_nimmi, I don't think they are going to shut it down they are make to much money too. If you was making the money they would you shut it down?

I have read many articles about facebook shutting down and its a rumor facebook is not shutting down. I was reading and it was said that a reporter start the rumor about Mark Zuckerberg is withdrawing from facebook.he is a very wealthy man and facebook will be still running it's just a rumor ..

This is a big rumor, how can a big social networking site is maintained by a single person. Facebook site is maintained by lot of engineers, designers and they are paid for doing it. I have heard these type rumor before from here and there. I believe only if the announce is made on Facebook site. How can a big bucks making site will close. It is not possible.

There had been too many news like this before. I don't think this is real, though. He earns too much to shut Facebook down. In my opinion, money is never too much unless it's a living breathing one trying to eat you alive.

I've never heard this rumor, but I can't imagine it being true. Facebook is HUGE now, and I highly doubt that Mark Z. is handling it by himself... he has tons of people working for him at this point, and to shut down facebook because of stress is just ridiculous.
