I am so tired of being sick

6 months now I have been constantly sick. I am so tired of feeling like this. It is all in my digestive system. I got bacterial overgrowth in my small intestine and I have been through hell with it. Now the doctors don't know what to do with me. So I decided to heal my self through diet. Low carb, no sugar diet. Believe me, it is horrible. I had detox symptoms, and major sugar withdrawl. I just want the pain to stop in my stomach. Ive had it everyday for 6 months, and I tell you, it has made me want to die. But I am on the right track now. I don't know how or why all this happened to me. 6 years ago I was healthy. Well, not totally, I mean Ive always had asthma, allergies, and a thyroid condition, but I was able to eat anything I wanted. Now I can't. Mostly because of the overgrowth now, and gastroparesis, ibs, diabetes, and others. And I am only 44 years old!! I am not suppose to be this ill!! On top of that, I now have a anxiety disorder and I blame it on my neighbor that hates my guts. All her noise drives me out of my skin. I swear sometimes I want to go up there and kill her! Well, this has turned into a rant. Sorry about this. I just envey those of you who are healthy. If you don't have your health, you don't have anything. So eat some of that good food for me that I cant have anymore!!

i just want to share with you a book that i'm reading right now.. it's "THE MAGIC OF THINKING BIG" it can help you realize some things to cope up with your sickness..the power of positive thinking, and handling sickness, it's not the end of the world for you, there are still so many reason to go on living, it all depends on your attitude towards your sickness, you can choose to feel sorry all the time envy others who are healthy, blame your neighbor for your anxiety and be sad and feel sicker all the time or you can be thankful that you are alive, can still walk and do and perform regular tasks, and look for ways to ease your sickness like what your doing right now taking initiative on choosing your diet, try to look on the bright side of everything..and you can see the power of being optimistic.. you can try to read this book and it will help you a lot.

I can relate to your health problems, so I sympathize. I have kidney disease and food allergies as well as a little asthma and something else that hasn't been diagnosed properly yet. I do think that our lifestyles and the way we eat contribute to a lot of disease. So many people are sick in one way or another that there really aren't may who are completely healthy. I do envy those who are, too. I keep remembering what it used to be like, when I could get up and work all day, eat well and sleep all night.

I, too, hope we both improve. It's hard to be careful when it seems like others can do whatever they want, but I suspect that, for at least some of them, it's just a matter of time. Our food supply as well as our water, is so filled with herbicides, pesticides and antibiotics as well as many other chemicals and medicines, that it has to affect us all.

Hi peavey, I am so sorry you have kidney disease. I can relate to the food allergies. I would give anything to be completely healthy. And for it not to be in my digestive system. I don't know why all this happened to me. I to, remember what it was like to eat normally. And I miss it. But I have also learned all the bad stuff that goes into your system from those processed foods to. It is so hard to believe that our body can't tolorate much. I hope you improve, as well as I to.

Hello Lagirl. Like you, I have been sick these past three months because of my asthma and allergies. I was on antibiotics for three months and I wasn't getting well. I attributed my sickness to stress and sure enough, when I resigned my cough cleared and so did my asthma. My suggestion is if you are this sick, try to get away from all the things that are causing you stress. One of my worries though is that I am having a hard time getting my Social Security disability filed. I will try again tomorrow because I do need money for my asthma medication and I cannot really go back to work because once I do, I start getting sick again.

Hi Anne, Don't give up on the disability. I finally was approved after 2 years. And include every single health problem you have. Antibiotics can be dangerous if you are on them to long. They can strip out your immune system. That is what they did to me, and that is how I think I got the bacterial overgrowth. But I also could have gotten it from my gastroparesis. That means my stomach emptys food out very slow. And the food sits there for so long that the bacteria will grow and cause this. I would love to get away from my stress but it is mostly with my health, and my living situation. I have a neighbor from hell right above me. She hates my guts just because I want quiet. And she does not know how to be quiet with 3 kids up there. Ughhhhhhh Thanks for the advice, and dont give up on that disability! You will win it if you keep going!

Hey Girl, How have you been? I have given up on doctors helping me with this. They know nothing about it. I am trying herbs now to see if that helps. Take care!

Perhaps when you were still young, you have abused your body in a way that you ate foods that you know are not healthy. Maybe you have taken a lot of these unhealthy food, and drinks as well in the past. Hence, you are experiencing the pain and sickness you have right now. My advice is that, save your body. Continue eating healthy foods.

I agree about the past eating. Yes I ate things that were not good for you. Pizza, nachos, beef sticks, sweets, ect .. Maybe that is what got me here. But I will try to stay with my diet because I want to be healthy. Thankyou

I think you should have some spiritual support. You should contact a clergy member and have them pray with you and have them pray for you. You need prayers !! You need a support group use your friends arround you let them know what's going on . Don't hide it from anyone

I have had people pray for me from online churches. That is the best I can do. I can't go anywhere for very long because I don't feel good. I do have friends and family and believe me, they have heard enough of my health problems. Most of this has been going on for 5 years. But thankyou anyway

I'm sorry to hear that your in such pain. You are on the right track now though. Try to eat as much fruits and veggies as you can that will help. Look into Pragmatic Doctors in your area. They use minerals, and supplements. instead of all the man-made prescriptions.I'm no health expert but some of the things that I have read about them sounds promising, they seem to do more good than anything. I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks cegypt01, Unfortunately I can't eat fruits because I am fructose intollorant. And I can't have any acidy veggies like tomatoes because my stomach is screwed up. But I can juice the green veggies. I just got a juicer and am planning on doing that today. I have looked for those kind of doctors in my area and there aren't any. I would have to travel for that. But thanks for the suggestion.

I can tell that you must be going on a lot of pain right now. It's very hard for you but you are still trying to fight and live through despite of what's going on. I can't say that I know what you are feeling. I hope that just by giving out my sympathy would do you good. Just remember that the life is precious and beautiful. Enjoy it one step at a time. Don't worry the pain never goes just try to divert it to make it more productive. Hope you get well soon!

I am sorry you are suffering so much. Intestinal pain is awful and causes so much other stress. It does sound like you are on the right track by changing your diet. I had a friend that was going through something similiar and she had to stop eating fruit since it was fermenting in her intestines and causing bacteria to grow. Just wondering...have you tried hypnosis and meditation to help with the anxiety? I hope you continue on your road to recovery.

Hi Virdell1, Thanks for the suggestions. I wouldn't wish what I am going through on my worst enemy. I am on anxiety meds now and it is helping alot. I was having severe chest pressure and pain and now it is gone. Not only my health was causing the anxiety but my living situation was. I haven't tried hypnosis or meditation. I can't afford hypnosis. I used to meditate, but you need quiet for that and there is constant noise where I live. I hate living here! Thanks for the wishes

Dont worry, try to be happy and busy yourself in some activities, i know it is very difficult in such pain but be positive, because thinking positively is as important for health as good food,i recently listen in a channel about positive thinking, so try to be happy, think positively, drink juices o fresh fruits, eat simple food that can be digest easily, and most important pray to God, and soon you will be fine, wish you for good health.

Thanks. But it is really hard to be happy the way my life is right now. And being positive isn't so easy either, especially with my depression. And my deteriorating health has made it worse. I can't digest very much right now, but what I can eat I keep eating. Thanks

I'm sorry about your sickness. Even the imagination of the symptoms makes me quite me uncomfortable. Cheer up, my friend, though it is not that easy. I think the first thing you got to do is to make every effort to bright up yourself. Trust me, it is much more important than you imagine. Go to the woods or the natural landscape to ease up. For you, good mood is a better medicine. Maybe it is the test from the God, a test to make sure you're brave and strong. So don't give up. Next time, I wish you would tell us you've overcome the misfortune. Wait for your good news.
