Is anyone on the low GI diet here? That's what my husband and I are on now. We started out with low calorie,Got into a plateau. Figured we would try this and see if it would jumpstart it again. Well it has for him, but mot for me. Why do men have to lose faster than us? I still have about 60 to go and he has about 70. I need to add weight training, but I am afraid I will gain weight when I start using weights. Anyone have any ideas. I am borderline hypothyroid and that doesn't help.

So I have to tell you I am sooo happy you posted this! I am on the GI diet and I work out ever other day! In 8 months, I went from 215lbs to 178lbs. I gained it all back in 5 months when I got a sit down job and it took up 80% of my life. I am back on track, since losing my job. And so far its been 2 weeks and I've lost 2lbs and an Inch off my waist! Friend me, we should blog together about it. It worked for me and don't worry about you gaining weight when you start your weights, its a good thing. Its all muscle. Before you work out drink a bottle of water and then have one on stand by while you work out. Drink another bottle when your done with a handful of almonds or a small amount of protein. That will help with muscle cramps after your work out!

I have tried it briefly. It really worked well for me! I think it works faster the more you have to lose though. So don't give up, you will see results soon as well!

When I tried to lose weight I ate smaller portions of my regular meals. I walked 40 minutes 3-4 times a week in a faster pace. I did not lose weight at all! Then I read in a weekly magazine that sometimes women need some kick-start to burn fat by not eating any fruits over some weeks. In fruits you have the fructose, who prevents the body from burning fat, before you have got the process going in a steady regular way. I did not eat any fruits, I put my mind into eating more vegetables, nuts and rice, potatoes. After four weeks I lost a few pounds. Then I continued to lose weight and finally my clothes started to be lose on me. Now I'm eating only one fruit every day. Vegetables is free to consume as much as I desire. I read somewhere also, if you want to burn fat you need to take at the minimum 40 minutes walks. It said that after 30 minutes the body use got the process of using your body fat more effectively. Best is to burn fat is exercise in the mornings and drink water. After your exercise you can eat a well based breakfast. I hope this has given you some good points! Be healthy. Live well!
