If you can have a superpower, what will it be and why?

If I can have a superpower, it will be the power to do things using my hand and mind. That will be so awesome! I will use that ability to help others. Yesterday, the truck in front of me turned upside down and if I had the power to do things using my hand or mind, I would have helped the guy turn his truck back up and check if he was ok. I will also move his truck on the side so other vehicles can pass thru. What about you? What superpower do you want to acquire? Will you help others using your power or will it only be for your own gain?

Clearly it would be to fly, it would be amazing! I would say to be invisible but you would find out so much stuff that you do not actually want to know, the same with mind reading, you would hate everyone!

If I have the super power, I would kill all the evil people in this world. I need only goodness, love to be in this beautiful world. Then this world would have been a better place to stay. Hope you agree with me.

I think it would be great to have a superpower. It would give you an edge to crimesolving. that is for sure. I would like my superpower to be invisibility. Catching criminals in the act without being seen would be an awesome feat!

Interesting question! =) Among those that have already been mentioned, I would also love to be able to do things with my mind, to fly, to be invisible, and to read minds. The one that I'm not too comfortable with is hypnotism, because somehow I don't want to control other people's minds, I'd still want them to be able to think for themselves. But personally, the superpower I would like to have is the ability to see into the future. If you're familiar with that old tv series "Early Edition", where the guy receives tomorrow's paper today, and he goes about trying to prevent things like accidents and deaths, I would like to be able to do that. And so to answer your other question, I would like to be able to use this power to help others, and not for my own gain. I do also agree with that phrase that was mentioned. "With great power comes great responsibility." That just shows that having superpowers doesn't mean things will be easier for you. In fact, it will be more difficult. The difficulty not only lies in deciding whether to spend your time using these powers to help others instead of spending your time with your family, your friends, your work... The greater difficulty is in deciding what your actions will be when using your powers. What if there are two accidents that happen at the same time? Will you be able to prevent them both? Will you be forced to choose to prevent one and not the other? Which one will you choose to prevent? How will you know which choice will be the right one? Or even... is it really right to prevent something from happening? What if preventing one thing will lead to something worse? (Of course, if you want to use your power only for your own gain, you won't have to worry about any of these. But if you wanted to use your power to help others... ) So all in all, it seems having superpowers does not mean you won't have limitations anymore. And I guess, you'll have to accept that too. But come to think of it, even if you don't have superpowers, that doesn't mean you don't have 'power', i.e, 'power' to influence things around you. Examples: If you're a boss, you can choose to promote someone, or fire someone, and doing so will have great effect on that someone's life, and their family. If you build things, the quality or strength of what you're building (a bridge or building for instance) may greatly affect the lives of those who use them. And so that just means that each one of us, even though we don't have 'super'powers, we all still have some sort of 'power' within us and in turn, each of us have great responsibility. (And I think I've gone beyond your question already, so I'd better stop here. Hehehe. Got carried away. =P )

My superpower would be hypnotism ... I would know whether the guy in front of me were about to flip his car over, and would instantly 'convince' him not to. I would generally use the power to my own gain, but 'my own gain' is so helpful to everyone that everyone would WANT to serve 'my own gain' ... Do I Have You?

You know the spiderman movie, the one with the phrase "With power comes responsibilities". I really wonder how many in here is prepared for that responsibility. I rather not wish for superpower. I don't see myself as being even stong will-powered, let alone super. To those who wish, well hope your wishes come true. But if it does, don't blame me if you get too busy (knowing people thoughts, saving the world when there are multiple simultaneous calamities, flying and knocking into aeroplanes..etc etc). I do believe there are similar threads started not too long ago.

well, the power to know everything. i mean everything as in universe, the stars, the earth, everything. With knowledge their is power. That is all i need, the knowledge. With that knowledge you can turn the truck to its right position. When the people from the past see us today, they would think that we are gods because of the things that we have invented. People now can fly, and can talk through gadgets that was not available before. That is what i mean in knowledge their is power.

If I have a superpower that is to make things happen or appear in an instant the way I want it to be whether good things or bad things. Of course I would like good things to happen to good guys and bad things to happen to bad guys. No more throwing punches or kicking butts, all I need is just a single snap. Isn't that cool?
