i have been trying since early morning today. i was trying to reach someone and talk to him there but no matter how much i tried, the site just wont open. in the afternoon around 3pm, there was a sudden brownout so i rested and took a nap. but when i came back around 6:30pm, still it would not open. it says: "we cant sign you in to Yahoo! Messenger. There might be a problem with your internet connection. Make sure that your computer is connected to the Internet. Click Troubleshoot to begin a series of tests to try to diagnose the connection problem." well i did. nothing is happening. are you experiencing the same thing? ann

I have a chat buddy in Philippines happens to her all the time. That has to do with the internet connection poor signal and such. She has an alternate site Meebo.com that she uses when that happens to her there. It usually only last a day or so. I don't know about your part of the world though.

It has actually been a long time since I've even tried to sign into yahoo messenger so I really can't tell you if I've personally had the problem that you are referring to. However, I was on facebook last night trying to keep in touch with my friends and I did see that a lot of them were complaining that they were having problems with their yahoo so I really don't think that you are alone with the problem that you were having.

Sweety I face the same problem, several days in a month, i put the blame on my browser rather, i had posted a discussion on this issue too. We have to bear things over which we have no control, never get depressed. Thanks for sharing. Cheers. God bless you. Professor. .

Well, I had this kind of problem before, but I don't remember how did I solve it. But there's an alternative way, you may sign in to Yahoo Mail on website, and there's feature that you can have your messenger buddys at left. And chat with them. Hope it helps.

I suggest you just get a gmail. th messenger is intergrated into the gmail email page which is really convienent and great to use. Most businesses as well as users prefer gmail over yahoo.
