Good luck with your blogging, but if you're doing it just to get your daughter off your back and don't really have anything you want to write about, then you probably won't stick with it very long. But blogging can often wake up a hidden writer, so give it a fair try. You can make your blog personal, something that just your friends and family would be interested in, or you can try to appeal to a general audience. Any subject that you know a lot about and can help others with is good for blogging. The main thing, at the start, is to do it often enough so that you get a feel for it, and can get into a regular routine of posting. Don't worry about making the blog too fancy unless you really want to post things like photograghs or art work. Above all, don't even think about possibly making money from it, at least not to start with. For that, you need a very large readership and that takes time to build. Also, if you try with the idea of making money, it can spoil the fun.

I did give it a try because I love to write. I write to earn a living but blogging is something different. It looks like a diary, a personal journal that I am not particularly familiar. But as of now, I am enjoying it minus the pay of course!

The only advice i can give you is stick to writing about things that you are interested in and passionate about.
When you thing about your readers focus on raising consiousness, personal growth and genuinely helping people.
If you make your blog appealing im sure you wont have any problems with followers or writing content

Have you considered the following?
1. List your interest. Then go in search online for similar blogs and see what and how they do it. You can go try at yola.com where the focus is on children blogs.
2. Go to library and borrow books on blogging.
3. Check with your daughter's school if there is some blogging club to join.
4. See the blogs of other myLotters.
Good luck.
