Actually, I have worn a kilt. And I've worn it 'traditionally'. Friends of mine tried to tease me about wearing it, but when they seen me in it, they had to admit that I looked good in it. That kind of scared them. I've worn this kilt in both the heat of summer and cold of winter, and found it to be very comfortable in both extreme temperatures. Again, I am a scotsman, and am not embarassed in wearing my culture's clothing. Kilts have been worn in many other cultures as well though, by both sexes.

If I were Irish I may wear one because of the tradition but since I am not - I could not get down like that! I always wondered why they wore kelts in Ireland - I have heard it comes from the Druids who got it from Mali - they wear kelts too but it is very hot there! When it gets to hot a man got to get some air but it is cold in Ireland. I do not think I could function with my testicals in my throat. Mabe they wear some kind of fur underwear or somthing.

I think what one wears should b left his personal choice ....now that can b anything a skirt or a frock. What is important is that they should know how to carry themselves...nothing else matters.
