What can we do to make our motherland a safe place?

We have watch it on the news, read it on the paper and listened about it on the radio about the various events that had occurred in the beginning of the year. Carnapping, bombing and the likes. We had seen what the government had done, their strength and limitation and their means of getting it fixed. So on our end, as a private citizen, what can we do to make our motherland a more safe place to live in.

We can be vigilant, just not to the point of paranoia. We should help build the reputation of the law enforcement by refusing to pay our way out of a ticket or jail. We should learn to accept mistakes and faults and try not to wiggle out of punishments. That way, law enforcements will be disciplined and do their jobs right. Corruption is one of the reasons why we have such an inept police force. If they become more efficient, then the Philippines will be a safer place to live.

That is true. Too much of everything is also not good. I'm with you regarding building the reputation of our law enforcement. It's true that we sometimes buy our way out giving corruption the opportunity to sprout. We ourselves should also be disciplined regarding this issues. thanks for joining the discussion. :)

There are some Filipinos who are causing the Philippines a place not safe to live in.
These include the criminals, carnappers, kidnappers, etc.
Maybe there is something wrong with our security that these kind of people can manage to do illegal activities.

Yup there are lapse in security somewhere. The government will not admit it nor will our law enforcement agency. So the best thing is to be vigilante, be more proactive in inter-security in the community and best of all help people go back to there feet to live another day. thanks for joining the discussion. :)

Hello redeemer,
the best thing to do is for the Government to work on their recruiting strategy to HIRE more Cops in the PNP and more soldiers in the AFP. North Korea has an old military tech but they have more in numbers, so i think we should have the same knowing we have almost one hundred million in numbers in each country.
I think it's best if AFP and PNP should at least have one MILLION servicemen. but i won't join, surely my mom won't let or i might not pass their MIND exam

That could be true about getting our security force to double or triple their numbers but "many" does not always guarantee stability. Thanks for joining the discussion. :)
