Age of empire tricks

Have you been playing "Age of Empires"??
Well, I am a big fan of this strategic game. I would encourage everyone to play this game and experience the graphics of the game. However, I am not very brilliant in following strategies and win the game soon. I am always slower than my brother in winning. I have even been the reason of getting defeated, by using multiple player options.
I would like to know, if there are any particular strategy or tricks that can be provided to win the game sooner!
Please suggest.

Perhaps familiarise yourself with the hotkeys more frequently as you play. Those would usually speed up your actions while playing competitively. Have a look at all the different unit types as some units have advantages over other. There are also bonuses with different civilizations. Or could try different game modes apart from just conquest mode. If all fails they you could just resort to cheating as some versions allow cheat codes in multiplayer mode. Regardless of what level you are at the more you play the better you would probably get at the game. Happy gaming.
