Friends become close to each other and they grow with in mutual understanding, love, and respect. Friendship with God is the same as, our friendship with our friends? And, if we stop our friendship with our friends, is it the same with God?

Friendship with God is a lot more different with friendship with people. If you are close to God you will do what he asks because we all know he only wants what is good for us. The big difference is GOD will not betray us. Unlike with people the possibility of betrayal is always there even with our long time friends.

Very well said zenki08 and i 100% agree with you. God is the only friend who will not betray us. He will be our friend forever if we maintain it , meaning if we always persevere in praying.

Friendship with God is like having friendship with other people. The difference is man is a complex being that can create conceptual approach to his actions and life. Since, if you have friendship with other people through God, then, the same friendship that you're doing with people. There's a mutual choice for God and people to render when friendship is in action. Betrayal is an action of human being created by his choice of understanding as man. he's the one making that action, because that's the way he wanted with his life. Two opposing choices of man can lead to a different actions that may lead their friendship to be staled.

I think so, at least to an extent. The Bible tells us that Abraham was a friend of God and he influenced God's destruction of Sodom where Lot lived. We can know God in a way that makes a discussion possible and we can become closer and understand God better. We also have a choice to stop this friendship, and sadly there are some who do.

That's true and even in today's generation, we can do that by taking our faith to Him through friendship with God. Also, our friendship to the people through God to make it more desirable on our purpose here on earth. Understand this friendship with God and mankind and there's peace on earth.

God influences everyone's life regardless. For those who have actually discovered God and not as a belief,God's intellect does seem to rub off on a person. One changes their view. Things become much clearer.Still there is so much left to discover.

That's the way we know God through our friendship to Him, and also, that's the way mankind perceived friendship to other people, which we discover from time to time because we are complex being to think and act what our mind tell us to do. We have a choice of our own, whether we like to have friends or not. Making friends through God, means making a choice through Him, that makes your friendship with people is true.

Although we were all created in the image and likeness of God, our friendship with Him is, I think, a lot different from our friendship with people. Because you see, we can stop being friends with people mutually. Unlike when we suddenly stop believing and praying to God. god will never abandon us. He will never betray us even if we lose our faith in Him. He'll just wait patiently until we decide to come back to Him. I dont think a lot of people can do that to their friends. God is too good.

As we go along with our lives, we can make friendship with people and if we don't like his/her attitude, we usually leave him/her. That's the reason why mankind has the a complex structure given by God, for him to understand and choose his actions. So, if friendship with God is different from mankind, literally we can say yes. But, if you look at it in another way, through God perception of man with friendship, it must have only one meaning. We are making friends with people and also with God. If you befriended God, then you also have to befriend with people, but you have a choice.
