I would have LOVED living back then when there were castles and stuff. You forged your life differently. Living as a farmer or something like that back then would have been so relaxing.

I'd love to see the classical antiquity of Europe. Maybe not ancient Athens - though it was a time and a place where so many great men were born and the foundation was laid for the European way of thinking - but I am well aware that, as a woman, I would not have had a chance, and I would have spent my life locked in a room.
So I guess I'd settle for ancient Rome - as long as I was born in the city of Rome itself, not somewhere on the border of the empire, or maybe in Egypt, in Alexandria - but still during the Roman rule, before that, Egypt seems a bit difficult to understand for me.

Personally, my choice is to live in the rise of aristocracy in Europe. I really dig historical fiction and everything in it - class struggles, balls, the gallantry and rake gentlemen accompanied with fashionable and intelligent ladies in their arms and well, kept houses. I would like to see what kind of life they are living and what kind of society they make. Although it might prove to be as a disadvantage for me as a woman (women are objects and trophies at that time), I'd like to be one of the pioneers to break the mould and perception regarding my gender instead of being treated like a brood mare and an object for alliances and fortune. Though I am a proud female worker, I kinda jealous of the ladies of that time - being pampered and sought after with the fine and luxurious living. Anyway, I might get some fun and adventure in the process.

I would love to be born in the future where life is much more easier. Hover vehicles flying around and houses no longer propped on land. You can teleport anywhere you like in a split second. That would be cool.

I may not be interested in the times of kings and Maharajahs, when the rule of might is right was prevailing, the period is too scary for me. I remember my childhood when people used to have lots of time at their disposal. People sitting on the walls of a culvert of a village road early in the morning enjoying the sun rays was a common sight to behold. People had lot of time to play a games of 'Atya patya, marbles, Gilli danda' children and elders of the village equally participated and enjoyed the game. Now a days nobody seems to have any time the culvert walls are deserted people are more interested in lock themselves in home in front of the TV sets or music players. I would definitely like to go back to that time of my child hood if I had an option to choose the period of my life.
