When Governments Fail The People

Would you say that but for free and open elections in America, term limits and America's way of promoting the advancements of innovation and achieving one's own future and dreams ... we might not be watching ourselves as we watch the Egyptian people today?

When the government fails the ppl then the country will be in the shape it is in now. We know the government is failing in the economic sence because of greed. We know we are in a war that makes no sence (what are we gaining?). So i say i think our government has failed us the ppl of the united states. When citizens go with out food but the foreigners get grants to open up the american dream (business) when our children have to be taught by someone that makes less 30,000 a year. That is mytocents

nytocents ... those are more than "cents" ... I agree! When President Obama said (at his SOTU address) that we ought to be congratulating children at chemistry or science fairs (I think that's somewhat the way he put it) rather than football stars, I was in the amen corner! It was not overnite that our economic system suddenly crashed ... this took years of neglect and inept polices and policy makers on both political sides. I would like to go forward keeping in mind what this history has taught us and never repeating it again. If most misunderstand the lessons, then we're destined to repeat the same bad times.
