What kind of funeral would you want?

These days funerals can be incredibly expensive. The funeral industry is booming since the only things you can count on in life is death & taxes. I read an article earlier of a service type that's now being offered in one region. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110131/ap_on_re_us/us_mountain_funeral_pyre ( not a referal site ) I like that idea. It's far cheaper than most of the services offered in other regions. Personally I'd like more of a viking a funeral with my pyre on a raft floating in a lake. All the extra money my family saved could be used on supplies for the celebration afterwords. What about you? What kind of funeral would you like?

for me i would want someone or a loved one to take me out to a campsite and put me in a fire pit and just let my ashes fly into the wind

I'll probably just end up tossed on top of the weekly trash fire.

For me its simple... feed me to the lions in the zoo and throw the biggest party ever! I would be happy with that rather than being stuffed in a box. It's bloody hot in there!!!

That's 2 people who better worry if their life insurance matures while they're visiting the local the zoo. Whoops....Don't worry dear. We'll go ahead & start the party.

I would not want something all that special. I want a rather low key affair. I mean, that would be rather fitting to my life, rather low key and understated. I do not want people to stress out all that much when I die. Also, I don't want people to mourn me as much as celebrate my life. Or rather the insanity of my life and rather the insanity that I had in my life. Less of a mourning and more of a celebration of my life in the end.

I prefer not to think about that. Don't know why, but I really don't want to plan for those things at this point of my life, it seems like such a bad omen somehow.

Ah but accidents happen every day. You may suddenly find yourself needing one much sooner than expected.
