I have recently got a recruit notice about a task of a mystery shopper and I have to things according to the instructions they give me then I will get paid. Have you ever done that before? I just wonder how it will go... and I figured it won't be a big deal if it doesn't pay me(I mean a scam) consdiering I jsut have to go in a shop and buy a meal for myself. If I don't get paid, I will have a meal, doens't hurt.
If you have done this before, can you share? What kind of shopping? did you get paid?

I would be surprised if people didn't know about secret shoppers. This is not a scam it's basically for the retail industry to check on the service people receive from sales assistants in stores.

i often receive message in my spam folder in yahoomail concerning secret shopper. I personally believe it's not safe even if I have not tried it personally, just because it was found in my spam folder.

I would be very careful if I were sent a recruiting notice out of the blue. There are a lot of mystery shopping scams out there. A very common one involves someone offering to send you a check for a fairly large amount of money so you can go mystery shopping. They say you can use a portion of the money to shop a store, then ask you to wire the rest of the money back to them. The checks are fraudulent, and when the bank finds out you will be held responsible for the amount you spent and wired.
Be sure you do a search for the company that sent you that notice online. See what other people have to say and if it is really legitimate before you take any action.

There are such companies but you have to sign up yourself, give lots of details about where you live, and a lot more personal details that most people wouldn't give! If you have received an invitation to join out of the blue, it is most definitely fake! What they get out of it is unclear but it is a scam, or phishing, or something equally bad.
