We have had a lot of snow this winter in New Jersey and our family seems to have slowly developed some snow traditions. We always have a nice snack of chips and salsa or popcorn while we watch the snow and then we watch a movie or tv as a family. It makes for a relaxing day. Sometimes we also bake cookies.

We are in Mass so we are getting the same amout of snow...
I don't think there is much to do in a snowy day, it's not a good idea to drive out, maybe play a little snow with the kids if you have one. We just stay at home and surf on the internet IF we don't lose power... it is the other thing that I hate snow because we lose power in some wet heavy snow.

What do I do on a snowy day ? Stay stuck at hom, and sleep, sleep, and sleep. Yes, ofcourse, atleast for once I have to go out and shovel the snow on the stairs to the front door. Otherwise, the newspaper man will be mad at me the next morning for not preparing the stair for him. Ha ha ! That's what the snow makes me busy.

Snow?....Hmmm! Ohhh you mean that white stuff that Northerners are always talking about..LOL We don't have that stuff down here in the Southern regions. We do have Hurricanes though and a few tornados. Hurricanes tend to shut us down a bit. We home grown Floridians have perfected the Hurricane party to a "T"...lol We don't 'bake cookies' because there is never any power. The first little 'breeze' takes the power lines down, but we do manage to get pretty "baked"...There is no TV, but we all have radios that work on car batteries. No one every remembers to get fuel so what else is the car battery good for....lol One good thing, the Hurricane is here and gone pretty quick, so if you survive the tidal surge, you make it.
So which is worse~Snow or the uncertainty of Hurricanes? Did you know that almost as many people are now leaving Fl every year as are coming in? That is without the Old Folks dieing. That was nevery true before...I thing folks are finding that the Hurricanes are worse, especially since insurance has gone thru the roof...literaly...lol
