Have you ever been in Rome? How do you like it? I have been there an I must say its very beautiful city. So many to see there. A lot of ancient buildings, very beautiful architecture. I was there 2 days, one day for Vatican City, second day we visit other Rome interests, Spanish stairs, Colosseum, Angel Castle, and much more. Really nice city, its worth to go there.

I've been there in October 2007. Yes, you are totally right-beautiful city, a lot to see BUT it's so crowded. I wasn't able to talk to some Italian there, all were tourists and that kinda bugged me. That is the reason I didn't like Italy.

Yes you did. I want to take a trip next year and that might just be where I will go. I think it would be a lot of fun there.

Yes, I have been to Rome. I was there just for two days. Oh yes, Rome is a wonderful City, as you say, many many places to see. I have been to a number of cities around the world. I would say Rome is a very unique city, with all the historical values. I was at the Vatican City too. I hope I will have the opportunity to visit Rome again.

I would love to visit Rome. My best friend who has been a flight attendant for years, had already visited Rome 5 times before she started as a flight attendant. She worked for Fed ex and whenever there were flights available she would attempt to jump flight to wherever, so she traveled free to many great places.

I was there once, ages ago now it seems. 13 years to be exact. I was studying in Vienna then, and in the winter holidays a friend and I bought interrail tickets and went together to Venice, Florence, Rome, Prague, Budapest and Innsbruck. And Paris, but not together. Rome is a fascinating city and I'd like to go back, but I think I'll do some more research and avoid the biggest tourist attraction because they're just too crowded. We went to St Peters quite late in the evening, and it was nearly empty. That was really impressive, we went back when it was full and it seems much bigger when it's empty. Gave up on the Sixtinth chapel, I'm sure there must have been 200 meters of queue. But we did see Via Appia. We walked for hours, took the wrong bus and ended up in the big nowhere, then walked for ages again. But we found it. It would have been sensible to hire a car I think, or get a taxi :-)

Thanks for the response mate. You are right, the only think that I dislike in Rome was mass of tourists, you barely can move around tourist atractions.

Wow! For only 2 days? Isn't that very short for that beautiful city? If I am to go there, maybe I will stay there for 4 days... Sigh! I wish I can go there soon.

Roma - Colosseum bloody history can not be overlooked.
If Italy is a country "blessed" with beautiful cities, then Rome is the most impressive of all, and it is almost impossible loves Italian state capital. At every street corner building dating superb animated terraces, restaurants serving delicious traditional dishes and last but not least, the prevailing atmosphere of refinement in the city. Not even one life is not enough masterpieces to see all the city. Certainly, the most impressive Roman monument remains Colosseum. The architectural ensemble has managed to endure over time and has retained much of the grandeur that was on time gladiators.
