Some of the dogs are really kid-loving, some of them is only loysl to their owner. What kind of dogs do you have and does your dog get along well with your children?
I have a labrador who so far likes our baby and seems to like him a lot, I can't wait to se e them play together.

We have two Labradors. They are both great with the kids. The younger one is still a puppy so she tends to jump on them a little more. The older one is just over a year but he's really laid back. He is protective of the kids already. If we are wrestling with one of the kids and he hears them screaming he starts barking like crazy. They protect the house too. If they hear a sound they start barking. I usually know when someone is here before they even make it to the door. I've always loved labs, so I love that we have two now. The kids love to play outside with them too.

We have a dachshund who will be 2 this march. He LOVES the kids. We have 3 small children and he is a sweet loving dog who really loves attention. He loves for the kids to get his toys and throw them so he can go run and get it and bring the toy back. He loves to cuddle with the kids and especially loves to play outside with them. He loves to chase the ball when they are playing soccer. I have never been a dog person. I fell in love with our dog though when he was a puppy. My brother's dog had puppies so I decided to take one home, we named him Elvis and he is now a part of our family.

I don't have a child yet but I've always loved dogs.
During my younger years we have our own dog that we get along with.
We don't know the reason but we never had problem with them, and it seems like its with their instinct that makes everything work out well.
I've read this article about dog's interactions with children. :)
